Fear....... ♪ Learning to lean.WAV
Go up, go up, take hold of all,
God's promises are yours, Don't be afraid, don't faint in fear, God's fighting for your cause. Through all these years, He's met your need, You have not lacked, God has supplied, He hears your every plead. Don't forget the things you've seen, Or let them slip away, Keep them dear from dawn til dusk, In all you do and say. God brought you out into this place, Out of the burning heat, So you could cross right over where His glory you could meet. If the Lord you seek with all your heart, You'll surely find Him there, For the Lord your God is merciful, He promises to care. He drives out every enemy, By His might and outstreched arm, By awesome deeds He rescues you, So you can know His calm. Love Him then with all your heart, Your strength and all your soul, His love will meet your need, He will make you whole. Derry's Heart Poems © 2002 Deuteronomy 1-6 |

Sudden Fear
Roy Lessin
What time I am afraid, I will have confidence in and put my trust and reliance in You.
Psalm 56:3
Sudden fear is one that comes at us unexpectedly, like a thunderbolt.
It is a fiery dart that comes to our minds to terrify us or paralyze us.
It can quickly move into our emotions and can even impact us physically.
It can come from reading a newspaper headline, facing a difficulty, hearing a bad report,
getting an unexpected phone call, or getting no phone call when one is expected.
What should we do when sudden fear comes upon us?
We must take control of it before it takes control of us. How do we take control?
We don’t take control by logic or reason, or by trying to be brave.
We take control by acknowledging that God is in control.
By faith, we look away from sudden fear to the One who is greater than all our fears,
the One who sits upon the throne, above all and over all.
Our freedom and deliverance from sudden fear is found in the Lord, the Almighty God.
The psalmist tells us, “I sought the LORD, and He heard me,
and delivered me from all my fears.”
When does this freedom from sudden fear come?
It comes as we renew and reaffirm our complete trust in the Lord,
and our complete reliance upon Him.
It is the Lord who said, “But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name; You are Mine.”
Affirm, by faith, that the Lord has redeemed you, that you are now His possession
and you are no longer your own.
Affirm, by faith, that He is responsible for you and will care for you.
Affirm, by faith, that God knows you by name, that He has not abandoned you,
and that He knows every detail of your life.
Affirm, by faith, that greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.
Affirm, by faith, that God is your Father, that He loves you,
and He knows how to provide for His children.
Affirm, by faith, that your life is in God’s hands.
Affirm, by faith, that your circumstances are under His control.
Affirm, by faith, that the Lord has delivered you and will deliver you from all your fears.
Affirm, by faith, that you trust in God’s mighty power.
Affirm, by faith, that He is able to keep you and all that you have committed into His keeping.
Affirm, by faith, that His peace is your portion.

The only reason to fear or worry is - if the Lord had said:
1. Lay up treasures on earth for there are no treasures in heaven.
2. Be anxious about life for God doesn’t know anything about you.
3. The most important thing in life is what you possess, so get more.
4. Your Father doesn’t care for you; you are on your own.
5. Seek what the world seeks; that is where true values are.
6. Be anxious about tomorrow; it’s good to have things pile up.
7. God cannot look after the practical details of life; save yourself.
(Thankfully, He never has and He never will say these things…
so continue to walk in His peace.)

~ Feet As A Deer ~
You are a lamp to me O Lord You give me light to walk Your way, You banish all my darkness, Bring joy into my day. It is by Your might I conquer, By Your power I leap the wall, For Your way is perfect, I listen to Your call. You uphold all who trust in You, Your Love is faithful to the end. You are my Rock, in You I'm safe, On You I can depend. My steps are directed by Your Word, You set me up on high, With feet firm as a deer On Your Spirit I rely. The Lord is my Rock and my salvation, What shall I fear today? The Lord's the courage of my life Of whom shall I be afraid! Derry's Heart Poems © 2002 based 11 Samuel 22 God wants you to move through this day with a quiet heart, an inward assurance that He is in control, a peaceful certainty that your life is in His hands, A deep trust in His plan and purposes, An abiding hope in His promises, And a thankful disposition toward all that He allows. The Lord of hosts has sworn, saying, Surely, as I have thought and planned, so shall it come to pass, and as I have purposed, so shall it stand-- For the Lord of hosts has purposed, and who can annul it? And His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back? Isaiah 14:24,27 |

Let him who walks in the dark And the cold Without any light Without any sight Lost and alone Without any home Trust in the Name The everlasting Name Of The Lord The everlasting God, And rely on His Word That sustains the weary And changes the dreary Morning by morning He wakens my ear To listen Like one being taught He has opened my ears And pulled me in I have not drawn back For nothing I lack I will not be disgraced For the Sovereign Lord will always help- So no-one condemns For I walk in the light To live on the height With feet like a deer And nothing to fear Within or without I live in the shadow The shade of His hand, He leads me to dwell In His blissful land I am safe in His love In Him, I can stand Derry's Heart Poems © Sept 2002 based on Isaiah 50 and 51 Be still, and know that I am God! PS sometimes fear can be caused by physical ill-health.
ie the nervous system rundown, I found this to be so.
so have a ponder- if you feel fear for no apparent reason, then consider different foods etc,
Especially increase essential fatty acids-and remove all transfats/heated oils and sugar.
Heated oils are damaged. Coconut oil is good -eg try eating eggs n veg in ccnut oil for breaky
with seasalt or Himalayan salt.
